We sat down with Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the masterminds behind the continued expansion of the Gorillaz, and twofriendly guys with great taste in shoes. I wanted to start asking, what New Songs were your opinions Coachella.
Jamie Hewlett: Great. I thought it was - it's fun to a party at a golf course with a lot of people in golf carts, and very well organized inevery detail. But we do not have to go for the whole festival, on Sunday we were with New Songs our children, riding around in golf carts and hadto eat something, and began the end of the amusement park and back in time for the concert, which I thought was great. Only theamount react extremely exciting to be a kind of combination between them all. The thing that amazed me the most is when it started, it was like a sea of ​​ Country Songs blue screens, small camera, and everyone was like a trip like this [holds his hands] and search through the recorder while they were recording. Although the Gorillaz are a virtual band, there's nothing wrong with New Songs their music. Powerful, catchy, but to provoke, but with the real thought behind the jokes and random melodies are truly one of the most unique groups on the New Songs  market. Here are my choices for their top 10 songs (in no particular order) are:  19-2000 First: The beat cold and 19-2000 of the grooves are the Top 100 Songs epitome of funky fresh sounds of Gorillaz. Suddenly a soft and a little 'strange, there is no better example of what the Gorillaz are about. The lyrics are cryptic and strange, but surprisingly deep,again a hallmark of the band.  According to Latin Simone: The mix of Latin rhythms with slow Country Songs   sad voice of singer 2D is very unexpected and very unlike their usual fare. Not one of their best known songs, and probably usually passed over as a filler, but for New Songs  me a great demonstration of their skills and overall understanding of music.

When, if ever, do you remove your hat? When did you last see your ears?

I take it off all of the time but I have twenty three of them that I wear in rotation. If I didn’t take them off my hair would smell!

What's playing on your headphones?

Cornelius, they’re very big in Japan and very loud in my headphones.

Describe the scene in the Gorillaz' studio:

It’s always very messy because the others are boys! I wouldn’t usually put up with it but Russel is so nice and 2D smells like Butterscotch flavoured Angel delight and I love them.
